A Free Random Pokémon Generator with Stat Filters

The FateWheel Random Pokémon Generator lets you spin the Pokédex wheel on any of the 1025 Pokémon from Generations 1 through 9. Pick a random Pokémon for your next run, build a surprise team of six, or use the filters to narrow results to exactly the type of fighter you need.

Most random Pokémon generators online give you a simple roll with no controls. FateWheel adds generation filters, multi-type selection, a legendary/mythical toggle, and — uniquely — minimum base-stat sliders for all six stats (HP, Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, Speed). That means you can generate only fast sweepers, only tanky walls, or only Pokémon that clear every threshold you care about.

How the Pokémon Generator Works

1

Set your filters

Choose a generation (or all), tick one or more types to include, and drag the base-stat minimum sliders to only see Pokemon with the power level you need.

2

Generate 1 or a team of 6

Hit Generate Pokemon for a single result or Generate Team to get a full six-member party that all match your criteria at once.

3

Read the card and spin again

Each card shows the Pokemon's official sprite, its types, and a colour-coded base-stat bar. Hit Generate again to spin the wheel and draw a new result.

About the Pokémon Data — All 1025 Entries, Gens 1–9

Every Pokémon in the generator comes from PokeAPI, the open Pokémon data project used by thousands of fan apps and research tools. The data covers the full National Pokédex from Bulbasaur (#0001) to Pecharunt (#1025), including every base stat, type combination, and legendary/mythical classification. Sprites are served live from the PokeAPI sprites CDN so the page stays lightweight.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many Pokemon are in the generator?

All 1025 Pokemon from Generations 1 through 9 (Kanto to Paldea). The data is sourced from PokeAPI and includes base stats, types, and legendary/mythical status for every entry.

What is the base-stat filter for?

The minimum-stat sliders let you filter out weaker Pokemon. For example, set Speed minimum to 100 to only generate fast Pokemon, or HP minimum to 90 for bulky tanks. No other random Pokemon generator on the web offers this combination of filters.

Can I generate a random Pokemon team?

Yes — use the Generate Team button to get a party of 6 Pokemon that all satisfy your active filters. It is great for challenge runs, fan teams, or Nuzlocke prep.

Where do the Pokemon sprites come from?

Sprites are loaded on-demand from the PokeAPI sprites repository on GitHub. No sprites are bundled into the page — this keeps the tool fast even on mobile connections.

Does the generator work on mobile?

Yes. The generator is built as a responsive web app that works in any browser on iOS, Android, or desktop. No app download or account is required.
