Frequently Asked Questions
Can I assign a Team Leader?
Yes! In our settings panel, you can toggle the "Assign Leader" option. Our algorithm will randomly designate one person in each group as the leader.
What happens if the numbers don't divide evenly?
Our generator uses a "Balance" strategy. If you have 10 people and want 3 teams, it will create two teams of 3 and one team of 4, ensuring the smallest possible difference in size.
Can I balance teams by gender or skill?
Yes. Open the Distribution Strategy setting and pick Balance by Gender or Balance by Label. Tag each name with a gender (add ", Male" or ", Female" when pasting) or your own label, and the generator spreads those attributes evenly across every team instead of assigning at random.
Can I save or export my team results?
Yes. Every result has an export bar: copy the teams as text, download a CSV, save the grid as an image, or print it. You can also create a share link that reopens the exact same teams — no screenshots needed.
Is there a limit to the number of teams?
No! Whether you need 2 teams or 20, FateWheel can handle it. Our UI is designed to stay readable even with dozens of generated groups.
