Effects

When to Use the Random Team Generator?

Manually picking teams can be time-consuming and often leads to bias or complaints. The FateWheel Team Generator automates the process, ensuring every group is formed fairly and randomly. It’s the perfect tool for professional, educational, and social settings:

  • Physical Education & Sports: Divide your class or league into balanced teams for soccer, basketball, or dodgeball in seconds.
  • Classroom Projects: Ensure students work with different peers by letting the wheel handle the group assignments.
  • Workplace Hackathons: Randomly assign developers, designers, and PMs to new teams to spark fresh collaboration.
  • Board Game Nights: Settle the "who's on whose team" debate for games like Codenames, Pictionary, or Trivia.
  • Icebreaker Activities: Quickly split a large conference or workshop into small breakout groups for discussion.
  • Gaming Tournaments: Create fair brackets or team structures for esports and casual gaming sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I assign a Team Leader?

Yes! In our settings panel, you can toggle the "Assign Leader" option. Our algorithm will randomly designate one person in each group as the leader.

What happens if the numbers don't divide evenly?

Our generator uses a "Balance" strategy. If you have 10 people and want 3 teams, it will create two teams of 3 and one team of 4, ensuring the smallest possible difference in size.

Can I save my team results?

Currently, results are saved in your session. You can take a screenshot or copy the text directly from the results display to share with your group.

Is there a limit to the number of teams?

No! Whether you need 2 teams or 20, FateWheel can handle it. Our UI is designed to stay readable even with dozens of generated groups.

The Most Transparent Way to Assemble Groups

FateWheel brings the excitement of the "spin" to team building. By making the randomization visual and interactive, we eliminate any doubt of favoritism, leaving you with a group that's ready to cooperate and succeed.
